An Answer to Prayer: $16,000 HVAC System Donated to Beaverton Seniors

A Beaverton Couple Facing an Overwhelming Financial Burden

For one senior couple in Beaverton, Oregon, everyday life had become a struggle to make ends meet. After multiple back surgeries, the husband was unable to work. His wife was working three jobs to keep up with their mortgage and household expenses.

Between medical challenges, monthly bills, and the rising cost of living, there was little room for unexpected expenses. Then their heating and cooling system became another major concern.

The existing HVAC equipment was no longer economically practical to repair. Replacing it would cost thousands of dollars the couple simply did not have. For a family already struggling financially, a new heating and cooling system seemed impossible.

When an HVAC Replacement Is Beyond Reach

A dependable heating and cooling system can be easy to take for granted until it stops working. For older homeowners, especially those recovering from medical procedures, maintaining a comfortable indoor environment can be particularly important.

But when a major HVAC system fails, the cost of replacing it can become overwhelming. With the husband unable to work and his wife balancing three jobs, an expensive replacement was not an option.

What they needed was more than another repair estimate. They needed help.

A Community Comes Together Through Lennox Feel the Love

Through the Lennox Feel the Love program, Aviator Heating & Cooling had the opportunity to help this couple receive a complete heating and cooling system at no cost. The program brings together Lennox and participating HVAC contractors to provide essential equipment to homeowners facing difficult circumstances.

For this project, Aviator contributed its professional installation labor, technical expertise, and time. The complete project, including equipment and installation, was valued at approximately $16,000. The homeowners paid nothing.

A Complete $16,000 HVAC Installation—Completely Free

Aviator Heating & Cooling replaced the couple’s outdated heating and cooling equipment. The work included removing the existing system, installing the new equipment, and performing the necessary testing to ensure it operated properly.

The work received the same professional care and attention as any installation. There was no invoice waiting for the homeowners, no financing agreement to sign, and no added financial burden.

Instead, the couple received reliable heating and cooling—and one less major expense to worry about.

More Than Heating and Cooling: An Answer to Prayer

For the homeowners, the installation represented more than a new HVAC system. It meant relief from a financial burden they could not afford to carry, greater comfort at home, and the knowledge that people in their community cared enough to step in and help.

For Aviator Heating & Cooling, the project was an opportunity to use its skills and resources to make a meaningful difference. Sometimes the greatest reward from a day’s work is knowing that a family can rest a little easier because someone was willing to help.
